In the interest of full disclosure, please note the following before you decide to donate:
Donations are non-refundable. Attempting to force a refund through outside means like a chargeback is grounds for removal from the community.
Donations will not change the staff's decision on a player being banned from the server and affiliated discords. If a player violates community standards and finds themselves banned, donations they sent in will not be reversed on the basis of their removal.
Most people imagine donations going solely toward server rent, but donations could also be used to pay for a variety of expenses surrounding the maintenance and expansion of the Elgeis community. Possible examples, most of which are not currently in use, include domain name registration, Discord server boosting, compensation for contracted work or for premium plugins, advertising, and much more. As we expand, these expenses could vary both in nature and in dollar amount depending on the current state of the server. Your donation will be part of a general fund that will be, ultimately, used at the owner's discretion.
Donations do not net donors extra influence in server management, and should not play a role in server discussions. Touting how much one donated, especially in an ingame context, should be avoided. If it continues to be a problem you may be punished under Rule 6 (metagaming).
